Foilcase is a collection tracker for trading cards. It has no accounts, no sign-up and no analytics. This page describes exactly what the app does with data, including the parts that are easy to leave out.
Your collection — which cards you own, what you paid, condition, grading, notes and any purchase dates — is stored in a database on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere. Deleting the app deletes it.
Photographs taken while scanning are processed on the device by Apple's Vision framework and are never saved or transmitted. Nothing leaves the camera.
The app keeps a local diagnostics log of measurements from scanning attempts — distances, timings and whether a guess was corrected. It contains no images and never leaves the device. You can clear it in the app.
The app makes three kinds of request, none of which carries anything about you — no identifier, no account, no description of your collection:
As with any request over the internet, the servers involved — operated by their own companies, not by us — can see the network address it came from. That is a property of the internet rather than something the app sends.
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple. The app never sees, receives or stores a card number, billing address or any other payment detail. Manage or cancel a subscription in the App Store; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period already paid for.
The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.
